Windows had preemptive multitasking and right-clicking before Mac OS, so Apple MUST have copied them right?Who cares? If they didn't copy each other, both OS's would suck. Plus there are plenty of things Apple has taken from open-source and calls "innovations." Apple seems to think that they invented Unix for some reason

Funny. Microsoft showed most of these Features in 2003 at PDC. And I don't think Apple invented Chess? Did they? And why doesn't anyone notice Opera Widgets as a copie? Or Google Desktop?

however, it would be like linux in the fact that not all hardware would be supported. I would not say PCs are cost effective, even when building them. In fact, I doubt you would get below $900+, unless you installed Linux or BSD on it.

I would say if you use Windows, you are retarded. For example, why do I need add something extra to a batch file to keep command prompt open? However, on Mac, I can make a shellscript and terminal won't quit when it is done (no need to add anything extra additions), useful when you use a self made text-based math program. Why don't any Java or C/C++ compilers come packaged with the OS? At least, Apple gives you the compilers, even if it is not on the same disc as the OS installation file.
